    People report SAFE or HELP from cover — from wherever they judge safe — on any internet-connected device. No app, no registered handset, no fixed terminal.

    Man down? Others report for them

    An unconscious or injured person can be reported by anyone nearby — a colleague, a supervisor, even a stranger — by scanning their QR identity card. Identity lives on the card; any phone can carry the signal.

    Missing until you report

    Anyone who has not reported remains visibly unaccounted for — a named, finite follow-up list — until they report, are contacted, or the rescue team finds them. LivePOB never silently clears a person.

The Accountability Rule

Three states. No assumptions.

LivePOB does not infer human safety from a GPS dot, a badge swipe or a roster. When a drill or incident requires accountability, there are exactly three states — and no philosophy between them.

PENDING

Missing until you report

Every event starts with every person Pending. We have not heard from you — and the system says so in red until that changes. The Pending list is not an embarrassment; it is the emergency’s to-do list, written in names, each with a last known zone.

SAFE

Deliberately confirmed

A human being said so — with a timestamp, an identity, and a point-in-time location if they consented to share one. Not inferred from a badge swipe, a roster, or a device signal. Silence is never read as safety.

NEED HELP

The loudest signal on the board

The person said that too — and it arrives with a location your response vehicles can drive to. If they cannot tap it themselves, anyone nearby can scan their card and send it for them. Man-down is reported, not discovered at roll call.

No report means no assumption — the person reports, or the responsible team follows up until status is confirmed.

November 2025. A hostile drone struck a Natural Gas Liquids tank at an operating gas facility. The tank ignited, the plant emergency shutdown triggered — and grid power took the RFID readers, on-premises servers and site Wi-Fi down within minutes. Every piece of infrastructure electronic mustering depends on was gone at the opening of the exact event that made accountability a matter of life and death.

Personnel self-mustered from wherever they were sheltering, using their QR identity on any available phone, over independent mobile carrier networks to the cloud. No app. No powered reader. No site server. No Wi-Fi. More than 1,300 people confirmed their status within the hour — and every unresolved record was investigated and closed.

The plant still runs on LivePOB today — not out of sentiment, but because on the night every alternative went dark, this one answered.
